Deanna Sylte Lucas*

For three years, Deanna was given the honor of painting the calendar for Lutheran Social Ministry of the Southwest and it's micro enterprise, Faithful Expressions. And with this, one of her life-long dreams was fulfilled.

Deanna's career as a portrait artist has covered three decades. She began expressing her artist-self at the close of a chapter of professional singing with her sisters, who were known as the Sylte sisters.

Originally from the northwest, Deanna grew up on a cattle ranch in Idaho, just 90 miles from the Canadian border, where she, her husband, children and all members of family still gather together through the year.

As time has gone by, Deanna has benefited from the instruction of artists in New York, Washington and Arizona. Her accomplishments range from countless private commissions to covers for books and magazines, and commissions for hospitals, churches and other public institutions.

Deanna is a member of the American Portrait Artists society and her work can be seen in their Directory in all major libraries in the United States.

Deanna does commissions on request and can be contacted by using the information below.
